Product Details

Process Brief:
Juice clarification uses inorganic ceramic microfiltration/ultrafiltration membranes as the core separation medium in a crossflow filtration mode, providing a green and efficient physical clarification process. Precise membrane pore sizing retains turbidity-causing substances such as pectins, colloids, proteins, and microorganisms, while allowing small molecules including sugars, organic acids, vitamins, and flavor compounds to pass through. The permeate is clear and bright with low turbidity and high light transmittance, achieving simultaneous clarification and sterilization – eliminating the need for enzymatic treatments, diatomaceous earth, and other chemical additives, with no chemical residues.

Technical Advantages:

  • High filtration precision ensures one-step removal of haze-forming substances and microorganisms, yielding juice with high clarity and sterility at ambient temperature.

  • No phase change involved, maximizing retention of natural flavor, color, and nutrients.

  • Eliminates the need for filter aids such as diatomaceous earth or gelatin, avoiding secondary contamination.

  • Crossflow operation offers strong fouling resistance and stable membrane flux.

  • Highly automated system with ceramic membranes resistant to acid/alkali cleaning and offering long service life – suitable for clarifying high-value fruit and vegetable juices including apple, pear, grape, and more.
