Process Brief:

In the ceramic membrane filtration and clarification process for animal and plant polypeptides, the enzymatically hydrolyzed peptide solution is first adjusted for pH and temperature, then pre-treated to remove large particulate impurities. Subsequently, nanoscale ceramic membranes are used for crossflow filtration to precisely retain macromolecular proteins, colloids, polysaccharides, and other impurities, allowing the peptides to permeate through the membrane layer, yielding a clear, high-purity peptide solution. The filtrate can then proceed directly to subsequent concentration, desalting, and refining steps. This process is well-suited for the production of various animal and plant polypeptides, including soybean peptides, bovine bone peptides, and sunflower seed peptides, significantly improving product purity and yield.

Technical Advantages:

  • High separation precision – accurately retains macromolecular impurities and colloids, efficiently purifies peptides, producing clear filtrate with excellent product purity.

  • Ceramic membranes resist acids, alkalis, and high temperatures with strong chemical stability, easy cleaning and regeneration, and long service life.

  • Crossflow operation prevents membrane fouling, enabling continuous automated production with stable performance.

  • Compared to conventional processes, significantly reduces water and energy consumption, achieves high peptide yield, and lowers overall production costs – making it well-suited for large-scale industrial production.
